Juan Camara spent his career inspecting other people’s work.

Before founding Restoration & Exteriors, Juan worked as a State Building Code Inspector in Fort Myers, Florida — a coastal market where roofs and exteriors are tested by weather in a way that leaves very little room for shortcuts. His job was to walk onto a job site and determine whether what had been built actually met code.

That background is the reason this company works the way it does. When Juan inspects a roof or a structure after a storm, he is reading it against the standard it has to meet. It also means he knows exactly where contractors cut corners, because he spent years catching them at it.

The company has grown to cover both Indianapolis and Bloomington, serving homeowners, businesses and property managers across Central and Southern Indiana. The work spans the full exterior envelope — roofing, siding, gutters and painting — plus the restoration and interior rebuild that follows storm, water and fire damage.

Every job carries a 5-year workmanship guarantee. Materials carry their own manufacturer warranties; the workmanship is ours, and we guarantee it. If something is not right, we come back and correct it.

We also answer the phone. Emergency damage does not schedule itself for a weekday morning, so we respond 24 hours a day — if there is an emergency, day or night, we will be there.

Residential and commercial

We work on single-family homes, commercial buildings and managed properties. A commercial restoration has different pressures than a house — access, scheduling around operations, and usually a more complex scope of loss — and we handle both.
